Nirvana was an American rock band that was created by Kurt Cobain and Krist Novoselic. kurt played guitar and sang whilst Chris played bass. The band started life in Aberdeen, Washington in 1987. Dave Grohl joined the band after a tring of different drummers in 1990 and proved to be their longest serving.

The band split up after the suicide of Kurt Cobain in 1994.
